On the First Day (a Noelle-ism)

Noelle asked me to read to her a lift-a-flap book called In the Beginning, which begins "On the first day, God created the heavens and the earth. It was dark, so God said. . ." At this point I pause to let Noelle lift the flap and say, "Let there be light!" Instead, she lifts the flap and proclaims, "Go to bed, it's time to sleep!" Maybe we ought to read that story with her a little more often.
